Decolonizing Development

June 2 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Your Home CO United States
Free – $10

Decolonizing Development looks beyond concepts of representation, diversity, and counting. In this workshop, we will first explore what we mean by decolonizing development. Next, we will discuss tools and resources to conduct power, historical, and structural analysis. Last and most importantly, we will explore how we can incorporate a decolonizing framework into the proposal development and programmatic work we do as international development experts. This workshop is intended for experienced practitioners interested in honest explorations on how we – as a sector – can increase our global impact. Please register in advance!

The School of Public Affairs at CU Denver is honored to partner with The Public Policy and International Affairs Program (PPIA) to host a Public Service Weekend for junior and senior level college students, introducing them to the broad range of opportunities available in the field of public service. SPA supports these goals and shares PPIA’s vision in creating a new generation of diverse students to enter graduate programs and pursue careers in public service. As part of the Public Service Weekend, SPA will be offering an afternoon workshop for students at the Posner Center. No RSVP is needed.
